Our national advanced background check is a multi-layered search that combines the standard National criminal check with a national social security trace. The applicant’s SSN is initially verified, providing the state and approximate date of issuance, and authenticated through the Death Master Index. Next, the SSN trace will obtain address data and a list of alias names (including maiden names). Finally, the name(s) provided, including all acquired aliases, are searched for criminal records through a nationwide criminal records check.
